In the beg. XX century in Parichi there were:

Traditional activities of local Jewish population were trade with timber, vodka and flax fabrics. Since early time Berezina river was the main road and trade way for local habitants.
The shtetle began to develop in the 1st half of XVII century. In 1639 there were 43 wooden houses in Parichi. But the events of the XVII-XVIII centuries seriously hampered the development of Parichi economy and growth was stopped for a long time.
During Russian principality vodka trade was under state hard control and became less popular among Jewish businessmen. But Russian authorities did a lot to develop the region because of military and fiscal reasons mostly. First of all, old communications were reconstructed there:
| road Bobruisk - Parichi - Yakimova Sloboda - Rechitsa; | |
| road Parichi - Zhlobin; | |
| old harbour. |
Annually on October 14 Parichi held a fair.
In XIX, because of development of the All-Russian Market, new types of communications appeared in the area in 1873. Construction of the railroad provoked new increase of the development of the region. As far as Parichi was the main business and industrial centre on the strategic way from Central to Southern Belarus and in the region in general, those changes affect seriously the development of Parichi, even despite that the closest railway station was 30 km afar in Krasny Bereg.
Parichi main business object still was the harbour on Berezina river. Jewish business was the basis of Parichi economy.
In 1880 in Parichi there were:

Cargo:
a) export - wood (main), tar, resin, turpentine;
