Prewar Photos
Photos in the archives of Beit Lohamei Haghetaot (Ghetto
Fighters' House Museum of the Holocaust and Resistance)
Instructions for accessing photographs contained in the archives
- Select a photo number
- Go to the Ghetto Fighter's
House web site.
- In the right column, click: "Search Archive."
- On the Search Page, next to "Search by item catalog number,"
enter the photo number and click "Search." Or, enter any text
in the "Search by keyword" box.
- On the Search Results Page, click the photo catalog number.

- Photo # 39: Members of the He-Chaluts ha-Tsa'ir youth
movement at a seminar held in Kaminsk. The seminar was attended by
members from the Lodz, Kielce, Bedzin and Krakow regions. Photographed
in June 1939.

Photo # 458: Helena Fogelman. She was born
in 1932 in Kaminsk, the daughter of Yechezkel and Elte-Noche. Her parents
perished in Treblinka. Helena survived by staying with Christians, and was
redeemed by the Coordinatsia. Album 54, No. 548. Note: The Coordinatsia
was the Zionist organization for the discovery and recovery of Jewish
children in Poland who had been placed with non-Jews during the war.
