They shared schools, cemeteries, kosher butchers, bakers and more. Smaller shtetlach registered their birth, marriages and death in a nearby larger shtetl. History and Geography:

  • In present day Poland Baranów is in the Podkarpackie Województwo [ Province ], Tarnobrzeski Powiat [ County ], Baranów Sandomierski is the seat of the Gmina [ Rural Administrative District ] which includes the city and commune of Baranów Sandomierski and the following villages / communities:  Dąbrowica, Knapy, Nagnajów, Skopanie, Wola Baranowska, Ślezaki.
