Letters from Lida - 13

Translated by Lena Gorina-Black

Dear Faya!

As  soon as you receive this letter, please  write me immediately about our Volf. The thing is that for 2 months we have not received any letters from him and this worries us immensely. That is why I ask you very much, when you receive this letter please write me immediately what do you know about him. I will be very grateful to you for doing this. I am able to send you at the same time regards from all your family because I just was at your place and got your address over there. In waiting for your prompt response, your loving <first> cousin

Girsh

My address: Lida, Suvalka ul, #26

                        Girsh Pupko

(I live now at Suvalka street in the house of Il’patov)

I hope that you won’t neglect my request. If you will see Wolf, tell him that you received a letter from me. Also write me about yourself and your life. Grateful to you in advance,

                        Girsh

Girsh wrote in Russian, but gives his address in Polish - the official language in Lida in 1927
