Letters from Lida - 18

Translated by Lena Gorina-Black

Dear Dorochka!

We received your letters as well photos and are very grateful for that. I am very glad that you have many girlfriends and are having a good time. With God’s help I wish you to be even happier in a future. Holidays <Catholic Christmas and New Year>, thank God are over, except Russian <holidays – Russian Orthodox Christmas on January 7>, and thank God, we made fair sales.  So far we did not have cold weather,  <although> two weeks ago the official winter started, and now only two hard months are left for us to be cold, but I hope that this time also will pass fast because the days are getting longer, we just have to wait for the warm time. I was not able to get the addresses that you asked about, but as soon as I find out I will send them to you. I am looking for somebody who is going to Palestine to send you a little <money> for your small needs and with first opportunity will send them to you. Be healthy and happy. Loving you, your mama Revekka.

Revekka Moiseevna just came and asks me to sent you her regards from all her heart and her best wishes.<unclear>
