Dear children!

I cannot believe that you did not write us for such a long time – it’s the third week we haven’t received anything from you. Your last letter of January 9th, we received on  the18th and since that just nothing. Can you imagine how are we worrying? I was planning to send you a telegram but fortunately received a letter from Manfred’s parents in which his father writes that they receive your letters very often and that he received, dear Fanechka, a napkin you embroidered that they like very much, and we all are immensely happy about it too. Manfred’s mother wrote me a separate letter in German, which also pleased us very much. She also writes that they receive your letters every week and that she admires your work, but she does not know about the day of your departure. Partially, we were satisfied, but it is still unbelievable that you did not write us for such a long time. How are you doing, my dear children, how is your health? Did you receive our letters that we write you regularly every week?  Did you receive the documents, the fur collar, and our letter from January 19th? For God’s sake, write us immediately and in detail, we are waiting for your letter with hellish anxiousness.  Be healthy and happy by the wish of your loving mama Revekka.

Dear Fanechka and Manfred! How could we explain your silence? It is slightly surprises me, Fanechka! Do not do this again. I’m in a hurry to go to my job and will write you only a few words. What did you send to Manfred’s parents, write me what have you done and what pattern did you use. How are you doing? Where are you now, and most importantly, why you did not write to us?  Kissing you with love, loving you Frida. We live from Friday to Friday and it is up to you not to disappoint us. Yours Frida.

Fanechka and Manfred? What does it mean? How is it that you write to Berlin, and don’t write to us? Dear Fanechka! We received a very nice letter from Manfred’s parents. They admire your work – what did you send to them? We are interested in the work you sent to them. Write about everything in detail. We all are in a bad mood when there is no letter from you. Mama is very upset, simply does not know what do with herself, and constantly is thinking how to explain your silence. Thanks to the letter from Berlin, we calmed down a little because they received your letters. One girl, Tatarsky’s relative, is now in Jerusalem with Sara Tatarskaya. I am wondering if you received everything. Although it is not something special I still worry about it. I even do not remember now what I did send, I already wrote you about it few times. Inside the collar that we sent, you have to insert special rods to make it stand. Here they wear very long dresses now <unclear>. With loving kisses. Lisa.
