Letters from Lida - 61

Translated by Lena Gorina-Black

Dearest and beloved Fanechka!

I write this letter asking you and hoping that you will not consider it strange, because as an educated and modern person you will understand me fully. Yes, my dear, I have to let you know about my circumstances. I left my house and I left Shimun, because I had an important reason about, which, I think, you more or less know.   If not, I will tell you about it one day, that is, I will tell you about everything in detail. Yes, I decided that this is a necessary step, I thought and tried to make a decision for a long time, still I did not see any other way. And I could tell you that I made this step by myself and I am fully responsible for it. Therefore, Fanechka, I pray that you and Sara will participate in my request, that is I want an agreement for a long-term request, that is, a divorce. I ask you and Sara because I consider you the people most close to me, and I am sure and certain that you will respond to it. Please let Sara know that you received my letter and same to Shimin.

Fanechka, don’t worry about me, I am alive and well, I work and am surrounded by good people, they are all girls <women>. I would like to see you very much and would give you my address but I cannot. I hope that in the nearest future I will visit you. Kiss you with love. Please give my best regards to Manfred. I remain your friend, Tamara
