Dear Ernst,
Received your letter. Of course I read all the little notes
and of course I always put them away carefully. We will be very happy when you
come. You’ll write again, so that we can wait for you down there. Iche married
on the 27th, did you know, in Meran? And now Mr. Beermann has died.
Thursday Mrs. Freimann has her birthday. Tomorrow night
we’ll all be at Uncle Jacob’s [not sure I read that name correctly]. Just
think, Wohlgemuths, on Brahms Allee, sent him a lovely crystal vase, which
didn’t even crack in two during transport. Sunday evening we had nice company,
a debate about Aguda-Misrachi, lasted until 3AM,
what do you say to that? It was
extremely interesting. Georg Cohn was here, too, and a friend of Dr. Jacobsohn.
Right after I finish this letter, I’m writing to Manfred,
who sent a detailed letter on the differences between agriculture here and
there.
I’d be very happy if you were to like work and be satisfied,
may it always be so!
Many greetings, Mom
