In 1928, Mackiszki was designated as a kolonja (colony) & gmina (town) and seat of the community council for the surrounding villages in the First Uchastok, Lida powiat, Nowogrodskie voevodstvo of Poland. The Justice of the Peace was in Ejsyszki and the Justice Court in Wilno. The 1928 population was 89. The railway station was nine kilometers away (train stop for limited transports) in Woronowo II. The post office was in Woronowo and telephone and telegraph were in Lida. Mackiszki had "poleckiszki" [meaning unknown], brickworks, and mills.
