The Property Record Information below, is largely raw and unprocessed. Dr. Lamdan has mentioned his hopes to create an informational article on the material, as his schedule allows. It seems that the information was extracted from a series of registers in the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Minsk and with the concerted efforts of the Lyakhovichi Special Interest Group, been made available. The spread sheets with which the webmaster was provided, came with the researcher's notes that I have included and the additional notes by me are clearly labeled. This kind of project is necessarily an index and abstract of the original material, not a complete reporting of what you will find in the original. I am not sure if photoduplication of any of the records was obtained, but if so I will endeavor to include that material in the next update.
What do the notes mean?
The translator provided many of the annotations in the Notes column including all information about the 1874 Revision List and the information placed there about who owned the property before and after 1905. When information was derived from another source by the webmaster it is put in brackets or parenthesis and initialed dgg (Deborah Glassman). The “father” column was created separately and reflects the webmaster’s understanding of the information provided. Corrections are welcome. The point is that I may have assumed the father’s last name with insufficient evidence, or the relationship may not be that of a father if the name was that of a previous holder of this same real estate. The names of same-surnamed previous holders of the property that appear in the notes column were moved to the father’s column where the relationship seemed possible as it is difficult to index them in the Notes column. There are 425 listings in these records.
You can also go right to the Records of Nineteenth Century Property Owners to see if names referenced for your parties of interest are continued there.
