The Website of the Centre for Studies of the Culture and History
of East European Jews keeps a gallery of old pictures of Jewish Lithuanian
Communities, collected from regional museums of Lithuania.
The gallery includes several pictures from the Historical Museum of Mazeikiai.

webmasters by Mr. Shalom Eilati, who recognized one of the people in pictures
under
Family Research,
Lubavitsch
., the youngest child of Berre and Hene-Leah
Lubavitsch, Pessa. In his possession are pictures of his late mother,
Leah Greenstein (z"l) with the same young woman, Pessa Lubavitsch.
Leah and Pessa were friends. Leah perished in the Kovne Ghetto. Pessa
later married Morris Wald and became known as Pauline in South Africa.
