Pomortsy images

This map of Pomortsy (Jazlowiec) was submitted by Susana Leistner Bloch who writes as follows: "On the left hand side of the map you see the word Klazstor. Just above the _r_ is a sign detecting the old Kloister, a sort of Monastery and Cathedral. In the postcard of the marketplace (below), you will see the Kloister on top of the hill. Just below the 'r' ( in Klazstor) you can see a sign of a Star of David that shows of a Synagogue or the Jewish Cemetery. The person that sold me the postcards said it was a synagogue, but he might not know. It seems to me to be isolated, outside the town limits and, a Synagogue would be where everyone lived. Remember that religious Jews (and they all were in those days) were only permitted to walk a certain distance on Shabat and High Holidays, so it seems more likely that it would be the cemetery."
