Wygnanka is included in the Suchostaw Region Research Group (SRRG). Shtetlach were interwoven together like a tapestry and the Jewish people of neighboring shtetlach linked by marriages, trade and marketing. They shared schools, cemeteries, kosher butchers, bakers and more. Smaller shtetlach registered their birth, marriages and death in a nearby larger shtetl. One should research the neighboring area as well as an individual shtetl. The SRRG web site has resources and information that is relevant to many shtetlach. After emigration:
- In the 1960s, the American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS) microfilmed the "Jewish" incorporation records in New York County for the period from 1848 to 1920. The following Budzanow Landsmanshaftn [associations] are recorded in the microfilms. These Landsmanshaftn provided social and economic services and support for their members:
- Freue Budzanower Unterstuetzungs Verein - incorporated in 1901
- Freie Budzanower Frauen Unterstuetzungs Verein (Ladies) - incorporated in 1901
- Erste Budzanower Kranken Unterstuetzungs Verein ( Sick Benevolent Society) - incorporated in 1901
- First Budzanower Young Mens Eudcational and Benevolent Association - incorporated in 1901
