WYGNANKA

  • In the 1960s, the American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS) microfilmed the "Jewish" incorporation records in New York County for the period from 1848 to 1920. The following Budzanow Landsmanshaftn [associations] are recorded in the microfilms. These Landsmanshaftn provided social and economic services and support for their members:
    • Freue Budzanower Unterstuetzungs Verein - incorporated in 1901
    • Freie Budzanower Frauen Unterstuetzungs Verein (Ladies) - incorporated in 1901
    • Erste Budzanower Kranken Unterstuetzungs Verein ( Sick Benevolent Society) - incorporated in 1901
    • First Budzanower Young Mens Eudcational and Benevolent Association - incorporated in 1901
