Botosani  Records

This section summarizes availability of important historical records for the Botosani area - both online and at various archives, libraries, etc. All researchers are invited to submit information on additional sources and offer any corrections.

A significant source of Romanian historic information is the Romanian National Archives with over 40  branches. Much of the information is at the Botosani branch (BB), although due to the changing borders some towns and years could be elsewhere.  Soren Goldenberg has kindly found & translated the official new  2008 regulations regarding the number of documents that can be viewed per day.
