Botosani  Records

This section summarizes availability of important historical records for the Botosani area - both online and at various archives, libraries, etc. All researchers are invited to submit information on additional sources and offer any corrections.

A significant source of Romanian historic information is the Romanian National Archives with over 40  branches . Much of the information is at the Botosani branch (BB), although due to the changing borders some towns and years could be elsewhere.  Soren Goldenberg has kindly found & translated the official new  2008 regulations regarding the number of documents that can be viewed per day.
