Archive Research Projects

The Botosani National Archives offer significant potential genealogy information but indexes are very limited and translating the old Cyrillic (before 1861) is difficult. Jewish records are especially challenging since there was significant patronymic usage. A number of individuals are now discussing how to organize new research projects.  Click on Archive Records to see what is known to be available so far.

Botosoni Cemetery  Cleanup/Maintenance.

The cemetery is in poor condition due to the lack of manpower and resources among the very small remaining Jewish community.  please contact   Bruno Segal
