Archive Research Projects

The Botosani National Archives offer significant potential genealogy information but indexes are limited and translating the old Cyrillic (before 1861) is difficult. Jewish records are especially challenging since surnames were not generally used until the late 19th century.   Click on Archive Records to see what is currently available.

Botosoni Cemetery  Cleanup/Maintenance.

The cemetery is in poor condition due to the lack of manpower and resources among the very small remaining Jewish community.  please contact   Bruno Segal
