My father and his two brothers (the Katz brothers) all survived as they came to South Africa as young boys in the '30's.. Their father Joe died about 50 years ago and their mother Liebe was a forceful influence on their lives. They started a business in an area called Kliptown and Lionel (the middle brother) was the success story of the three brothers and started a company called Metro (I think there is still a branch operating in America called Jetro). He unfortunately died of  a heart attack at about 60 years of age.  My father died at the age of 86 at the beginning of this year. He was married to a wonderful woman (my mother) named Pola (from Plunge) but she unfortunately died 10 years ago.
