My father mentioned that he had sneaked some chocolates before his barmitzva so his mom made him eat the whole box.
My father’s education seemed quite rich and he was able to read Hebrew prayers fluently and speak Yiddish fluently.
This is a photo from the cheder (Jewish schoolclass) of Rozalimas. My grandfather Ben Zion Grevler has his hands on two of his grandsons. The boy on the left is Aharon Diamond and the boy on the right is Levi Abrashka , who was killed, trying to escape from the Nazis.

said there were beautiful forests.
