Information on Sadgura Landsmannschaften

There were two Landsmannschaften of Sadgura emigrants in the New York City area. Both are now defunct. One was known as the Erster Sadagorer KUV, whose records are stored in the YIVO Archives. Burial plots for members were located at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Maspeth, Queens, New York. The second Landsmannschaft was known as the First Sadgurer Young Men's Benevolent Society, with burial plots for members on Staten Island in the Baron Hirsch Cemetery. A nearly complete listing of burials may be viewed by clicking here.
