Zaleszczyki is situated on the left bank of the Dniestr River which surrounds the town on three sides forming a peninsula. The bridge over the river connects both sides of Zaleszczyki.   The area is hilly and very beautiful. The hills reach c.15 meters at their highest point and form steep slopes to the river.
