| Oil painting from memory, dated 1972, by Jacob Walishewer (1896-1991). Jacob Walishewer was born in Ciechanów and lived there until 1915. He and his family occupied a rear apartment in the shul building. The shul was also the home of the rabbi. A photo of this painting was submitted by Jacob Walishewer's son, Dr. Robert Schaeffer. |
