Our ancestor, Verona Debora ROSNER (ROZNER) was born in Hódmezõvásárhely
in 1854, the daughter of Johan ROZNER and Fani LEDERER.
Her family moved to Kiskunfelegyhaza in the late 1850s.
There she met and married Adolf STEINFELD (born in Arad,
Romania). They raised their two daughters, Charlotte
(Sarolta) and Gizella in Kiskunfelegyhaza.
Sarolta immigrated to New York in 1895. She married Bela WEINBERGER in 1900. They subsequently moved to Chicago, adopted the surname WARADY and had four children: Eddy, Rose, Helen and Howard. Gizella immigrated in 1900, married John ALTMAN in 1901 and had five children: Ellis, Verona, Florenze, Milton and Pearl.
