Delatyn is a village in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains.
It lies along the Pruth River, within Eastern Galicia.
Before World War I Delatyn was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Between the World Wars, the shtetl belonged to Poland.
After World War II Delatyn was incorporated into the U.S.S.R.
Today, it is now part of Ukraine.
Delatyn was home to a vibrant Jewish community until the Fall of 1941.
